In computer terms, a home page is the website an internet browser first visits when opened. A home page is often set to either an Internet portal or, if the computer is located inside an institution, the institution's website.

Home page may also refer to the front page of a website. The home page is a window to the website and usually best reflects the site's content. Home pages offer guidance through a website and often allow links to other areas of a web site.
