BURZOE
Burzoe (Bozorgmehr or Borzoyeh) is a famous Iranian man of learning and politician who lived and worked in the Sassanid Empire of Persia in the sixth century. He was the chancellor of Khosrau I. He translated Indian Panchatantra from Sanscrit into the Middle Persian language of Pahlavi. This book later became known as Kelileh va Demneh. The book contains fables and stories in which animals play roles. Bozorgmehr was a chess master and is said to have created the game "Backgammon" in its ancient version.
