The Bundesgerichtshof or BGH (German for "federal court") is the highest appeals court in Germany for cases of civil and criminal law. In civil law cases, it hears appeals against decisions of the Oberlandesgerichte (Superior State Courts), in criminal law cases against those of the Landgerichte or Inferior State Courts.

The Bundesgerichtshof was established in 1950 and is situated in Karlsruhe. Its predecessor was the Reichsgericht.
